The Winter Blahs!

We have been having a very long winter so far. January was on the average, two to three snow storms a week. This seemed to go on for the whole month, and February started off a little slower, but on Valentines Day, we had a big wind storm that blew our current tramp into the neighbors front yard for the second time this winter! Needless to say, the tramp is down until the weather decides to mellow out! Justin and Tyler finished up their swimming lessons. They both passed off the tadpole level, and are ready to be goldfish! Hayley just started back up with ice skating (level 5) and will be able to perform in May for the ice extravaganza. Zach just finished his basketball season with 2 wins at the end of 5 losses! Sometimes, if you just hang in there long enough, a win eventually comes!

We are about to embark upon Birthday Week at the Larson household.(one of Mom's favorite times of the year, NOT!) We just had Justin's friend party on Friday, and according to Justin it was awesome, and according to mom was OUT OF CONTROL! Mom will definitely follow the smart rule of inviting as many kids as the age of the birthday child for the next party! All the boys had lots of fun, so I guess that's all we could ask for.

Our Family Blog

This is a first for the Larson family. We are hoping to keep this updated, and help some of our distant family members keep up on the latest developments with our family.

This winter we have been passing time with lots of snow shoveling, Zach's basketball, Hayley's ice skating, and Justin and Tyler's swimming lessons.

Zach is playing basketball with the Farmington City league, which is having a tough time so far, due to coaching problems (the coach has never played basketball, he is a soccer player, all 5'8" of him!). He is also on a tournament league with 5 of his friends. They had their first tournament last weekend, winning one out of three games. Zach did quite well, and is a lot of fun to watch!

Hayley has been spinning on the ice. She has been taking ice skating for about 4 months now, and is showing a natural talent and picking up the techniques quickly.

Justin and Tyler have been enjoying Kingergarten and Preschool this year, and Mom has been enjoying a little break in the afternoons! They have also started swimming lessons (their first ever!). Justin loves the water and is more like a fish, and Tyler, not so much! He is actually warming up to the whole concept of putting his head under water, and in no time will be diving in!

Check back frequently, and we will try to update this often!
